On Air again

Still on 2m. First time QSO with, VU2OSK, OM Omkar and VU2IVV, Jayesh. VU2HOC OM Hoshagi from Valsad though the signal was scratchy but he copied me 59+ on his IC2200H. Also, a great copy of VU2JRT from Surat. The Matheran repeater seems to do wonders. The Mumbai repeater (144.1+) is also up now, however, I am not able to copy on it.

I joined the Flying Pigs as a member, fpqrp.com. Why ? Is it because I am a ham ?
well, my on air activities are down for now. Cannot put up antenna at terrace of my apartment and so have to think of a way out. :-(

On air at 14.195 Mcycles

Had my first HF QSO with VU2ELJ at VU2SGW's shack using my 716 using 20W of power and USB. The signal report was 59+ and the reception loud and clear. Also got my first QSL card from VU2SGW.

My rig, IC706 is operational with a great report. Now need to put up an antenna at my QTH for HF too. 20m to begin with.

Radio Shack

My shack currently has
I am using an IC2200H as my base rig. The antenna is a GTComm 5/8th lambda facing SSE and a clear view of South.
My antenna is mounted on the 10th Floor window -- roughly 43m height.
My normal power output is 5W.

Station Activity

The Matheran repeater (MT) can be triggered (145.00 MHz +600Khz shift) conveniently and the Mumbai repeater (BT) also has a 59+ reception.
Checked into the Night owls net on 15th and 16th of August with Wispy and Pervez as the Net controllers.

VU2WSM - Satish, (MT)
VU2UBQ - Jayant (RST +57 at 1W simplex at 144.800 MHz) ,
VU2SGW - Sai (MT) ,
VU2IIA - Mahesh (MT),
VU2PJM - Perviz (MT) along with VU2UBP - Ullas.
Want to shift to CW soon.
